When I googled for ramanavami recipes I saw this vada pappu being served as one of the naivedyam.Vada Pappu is just the plain dal soaked in water and then a mild seasoning is added.... But traditionally it is offered to god as just plain dal.Here is rama navami naivedyam spread : Panakam

Vada Pappu Recipe - Ingredients
Preparation Time : 10 mins | Cooking Time : 10 mins | Serves : 1
Split Moong Dal - 1/2 cup
Green Chilli - 1 sliced
Coconut - 1.5 tbsp grated
Salt - to taste
Raw mango / Cucumber - 1 tbsp grated (optional)

- Soak moong dal in water for 30mins, strain water. Add green chilli, coconut, salt and mix well. If you prefer add raw mango / cucumber too.
Always serve chilled!Garnish with basil leaves and cardamom skin for extra flavour.
- You can add grated cucumber / raw mango or even season with some flavourful tempering while eating.
