This is a simple south indian lunch box menu with rasam rice,curd rice, potato fry and coriander thogayal.This can be packed for elder ones too as its a complete meal.And potato fry will be suitable for both rasam rice and curd rice.To make it colorful I have added pomegranate and grated carrot for curd rice.
It is quite exciting for me to plan for the lunch box menu...sure a break to the usual recipe postings....what say?! :) I am sure it will be helpful for me too next year when I pack for mittu....Thanks for all your feedbacks and encouragements for this series which pushes me to post it regularly.....hopefully should keep up at it...fingers crossed.

Here is the lunch box menu for today:Rasam Rice
- You can soak tamarind and extract pulp the previous day and refrigerate it.
- Even potatoes can be cubed the previous day night, immersed in water and refrigerated.
- Add little milk while making curd rice to avoid sourness.
- You can even add grapes, dry grapes to curd rice. Make it colorful and interesting for your kids to get tempted the moment they open the lunch box.
