Todays lunch box is a simple south indian lunch menu with lime rice(lemon rice) and raw banana curry. As a kid I used to hate variety rice and now its totally reverse...I can even have it daily, overtime my taste has developed to like all variety rice recipes.Lemon rice is one of my favorites and with any spicy curry to go its a comfort lunch for me.This is a great lunchbox menu even for office goers.
I want to make it clear that this kids lunch box series is not age specific, all mothers who are packing for school going kids can refer this series....And some of the menus will be suitable even for adult lunch boxes.I have few readers who ask for a lunch box spread(last 2 menus) and few who ask for just one main course and a sidedish and very few ask for even tiffin items to be packed....I am trying to accommodate all of them in this series but it takes time as I am just in my 'menu 4' :) So stay tuned for more interesting lunch box combo's!

Raw Banana Curry(Vazhakkai Curry) - Version 1, Version 2
- I have posted 2 versions of vazhakkai dry curry, you can choose as per your preference, both will be a apt combo for lemon rice.
- Add lots of peanuts in lemon rice as kids will like it and also peanuts are rich in vitamins and minerals and is packed with lots of health benefits.You can even ghee roast cashews and add it.
