It is really a mind twisting task to plan for the travel food series.....I had masala chapathi in mind when I planned for travel food ideas but was not sure of the combo...my sis suggested with the sweet chutney sidedish to go with masala chapathi.....As masala chapathi is spicy with all the spices added, sweet chutney would be great to pair with....Taddaa this weeks travel food menu is fixed with Masala Chapathi, Dates Tamarind Sweet Chutney, Curd Rice and Pickle.
I made the dates sweet chutney just for this travel menu sake but ended up making green chutney as well to make chaats...... :) yess I always get tempted to make chaat whenever I make this sweet chutney.

- Add milk while making curd rice to avoid sourness.
- Make masala chapathi like the way we make phulkas to make them stay soft for longer. Then you can brush with ghee / oil.
- You can make the sweet chutney a day in advance and refrigerate it.
- You can even make the masala chapathi dough ready a day ahead and store in tupperware containers and refrigerate it. While making masala chapathi bring the dough to room temperature then roll it.
