Podi Idli is one of my favourites, soft idlis dipped in idli milagai podi with gingelly oil - thats a yum combo especially when podi idli is left to rest for sometime then the idli absorbs the podi well and tastes heavenly.Its a great travel idea suggested by my sis and she also recommended to add lemon juice as a side drink for podi idli as you feel thirsty after eating idli. You can even take buttermilk as it will be apt for summer but make sure it doesn't turn sour so thats the reason my sis suggested lemon juice which is a great combo for podi idli.
I love idli podi so much that I keep trying many recipes with it, you can proof it by checking my 3 versions of idli podi :)
- Add gingelly oil(nalennai) which tastes best.
- If you want you can add ghee too.
